Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose the right weight between 40 and 400 g/y?
In practice, most buyers select the weight based on end use and required structure:
- 40–80 g/y: light dress and apparel linings, soft touch, minimal bulk.
- 80–150 g/y: sportswear linings, casual jackets, light bag linings.
- 150–250 g/y: structured bag linings, protective sleeves, medium covers.
- 250–400 g/y: blackout bases, heavy outdoor and agricultural covers.
If you share your fabric spec (weight, handfeel) and application, our team can confirm or fine‑tune a recommendation.
Can this mesh be laminated with PU, TPU, PVC or PE films and foams?
Yes. The mesh has a stable, lamination‑friendly construction and works well with PU, TPU, PVC, PE and other films or foams to create:
- Waterproof‑breathable or windproof fabrics
- Blackout and dim‑out fabrics
- Abrasion‑resistant composites for bags and luggage
Because every production line is different, we recommend trial runs to set the right temperature, pressure, dwell time and adhesive type before mass production.
What can be customized – composition, width, color and handfeel?
We can tailor the mesh to your program:
- Composition: adjust polyester / nylon / PP ratios and add eco / recycled content.
- Width: standard around 60–62"; other widths are possible with MOQs.
- Color: standard greige or white, or custom colors matched to Pantone / lab dips.
- Handfeel & mesh openness: softer, springier or crisper hand; tighter or more open mesh.
For best results, send us a reference swatch or target specification when requesting a quote.
Do you offer eco-friendly or recycled yarn versions of this mesh?
Yes. On request we can source recycled polyester, recycled nylon or other eco yarns and use them as part or all of the yarn system. If you need specific certifications or documentation (for example for brand sustainability programs), please let us know your target standard and destination market when you contact us.
What are the sampling, MOQ and typical lead time?
- Sampling / trials: we can provide swatches and small sample yardage for lab tests, fittings and lamination trials.
- MOQ: depends on weight, yarn type, finishing and whether lamination is included; many OEM/ODM programs start around 100 pcs per spec.
- Lead time: once all materials and artwork are confirmed, typical bulk lead time is about 30 days, subject to season and capacity.
We will confirm exact MOQ and lead time together with your quotation.
Is this mesh suitable for blackout fabrics and agricultural covers?
Yes, but the design approach is different for each:
- Blackout fabrics: the mesh serves as a base fabric and is laminated or coated to reach the blackout level you need (70%, 90% or 100%).
- Agricultural covers: we usually use heavier weights with UV‑stabilized recipes, adjusted for your climate and target service life (one season, one year or multiple years).
Tell us your environment (sun, wind, humidity) and lifetime target, and we will recommend a matching weight and finish.
